Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Business and financial performance
- Complete ownership of assigned portfolio of accounts including regular monitoring, early warning identifications, deferral tracking and working on appropriate account strategy in conjunction with Business teams in line with the banks risk appetite
- Assess, evaluate review and approve credit proposals as a first level officer for the Corporate & Investment Banking relationships which is referred to corporate credit involving various products like Term Loans, Trade Finance, ODs etc
- Help review end use monitoring on defined periodicity (to be covered on a quarterly basis).
- Focused housekeeping which involves follow up on clearing deferrals/ overdue/delays appearing in daily MIS circulated by Operations teams
- Review credit proposals submitted by business on assigned portfolio and assess the credit & risk involved comprehensively.
- Convey a clear opinion regarding the acceptability of the proposed transaction/ facilities, from risk point of view, covering business model, industry risk, structure, financial risk & regulations
Client Relationship Management
- Awareness of the product proposed, suitability to the client requirements and need based assessment
- Appropriate level of client calling to develop strong understanding of client business and industry dynamics
- Meet business counterparts on a defined periodicity (monthly or otherwise) for reviewing Early Warning Signals and Close Monitoring.
People and Culture
- Ensure adherence to the internal policies and regulations of the bank and the Group
- Stay abreast and informed about Treasury products, market trends, and regulatory changes.
- Adherence it the culture values of the bank enshrined in the RACEIT Values and CX Principals.
- Adherence to SLAs that have been set between the treasury department and both internal and external stakeholders.
Process, Risk and internal Controls
- Partner with business, CAD, Operations and compliance teams to help in meeting regulatory compliance with respect to credit dispensation and monitoring including end use.
- Address issues/ responding to BOU/ auditors on credit matters.
- Identify and closely monitor accounts which are in stress, in order to devise and implement account strategy for risk reduction
- Must Win Battles
- Any other duties as may be defined by your Line Manager from time to time.
