About Organisation:
Government of Uganda through Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development is funding and implementing the Mineral Regulation Infrastructure Project The project is aimed at increasing adoption and use of appropriate and affordable technology along the mineral value chain It also aims at strengthening the legal and regulatory framework as well as the human and institutional capacity of the mineral Development programme which align with the NDPIV objectives.
Job Summary: To undertake analytical tests for geochemical and environmental samples
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carrying out chemical analyses of rock., ore. mineral, fluids and organic samples
- Assisting in carrying out research and development in analytical techniques. Supervising and ensuring quality control in sample preparation
- Preparing analytical reports
- Supervising and appraising technicians.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An Honours Bachelors Degree of Science in Chemistry or in Analytical Chemistry or in Industrial Chemistry or in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university I training institution.
