Nama Wellness Community Centre (NAWEC) was founded in May 2014 and is headquartered in Lukojjo Village, Nama sub-county, Mukono District, Uganda. It has a long tradition of providing high-quality health care to the people of Mukono and its surrounding areas. Our primary goal is to eradicate preventable deaths among children and women, a mission that propels our strategic initiatives and interventions.

 

Job Summary: We are looking for a trustworthy and detail-oriented Cashier to manage day-to-day financial transactions at our Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving payments, issuing receipts, maintaining accurate records, and supporting administrative duties related to client billing and financial reporting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive cash, mobile money, and other payments from clients for services rendered.
  • Issue official receipts for all transactions.
  • Reconcile daily collections with service records and submit accurate reports.
  • Maintain updated and secure records of all transactions and balances.
  • Support preparation of periodic financial reports and summaries.
  • Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of all payment documentation.
  • Alert management of any discrepancies or irregularities in payment records.
  • Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth service delivery.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • A Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a busy health facility, NGO, or small enterprise.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and confidentiality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
