About Organisation:
The Bank of Uganda (BoU) is the Central Bank of the Republic of Uganda. It was opened on the 15th August 1966. It is 100% owned by the Government of Uganda but it is not a government Department. Bank of Uganda conducts all its activities in close association with the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED). Bank of Uganda is responsible for monetary policy and maintaining price stability.
Job Summary: To document, analyse business requirements for new or modified IT solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Elicit requirements working closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, goals, and challenges.
- Analyse business requirements and develop system specifications for business applications that address the customer needs.
- Documentation: Create detailed and clear documentation, including business
- requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams for inhouse and off-the-shelf applications.
- Solution Design: Based on analysis, collaborate with solution architects and developers to propose effective and efficient solutions that address the business needs through assisting in creating solution prototypes to visualize the proposed changes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the project team.
- Validation and Verification: Validate that the proposed solutions align with the business requirements by verifying that the delivered product or system meets the specified criteria.
- Involved in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the solution’s usability and functionality.
- Risk Assessment: Assess the potential risks associated with proposed changes and initiatives.
- Provide technical input to quality assurance reviews of technical documents to achieve high quality and conformity to Bank standards.
- Execute tasks assigned within a System deployment plan (SDP).
- Conduct feasibility studies for potential solutions.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned/delegated by the Head Business Analysis and QA Division to support the Bank’s objectives.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A First Class or Upper Second-Class degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science.
- Professional Certification in Business Analysis, Project Management, IT Service Management, Quality Assurance or related is added advantage.
Work Experience
- At least six (6) years of relevant working experience in IT business analysis related work.
Age:
- Applicants should be between 32.0 and 37.0 years of age as at close of the advert.
