Job Summary: The primary objective of the employee will be to inspect and repair vehicles, light and heavy trucks. He will oversee vehicle maintenance inspections, monitor inventory, assemble mechanical components, and perform minor repairs.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Jobs Completed per Day/Week
- Average Repair Time (Cycle Time) – How quickly a task is completed
- First-Time Fix Rate (FTFR) – Number of jobs fixed correctly on first attempt
- Comeback Rate – Number of vehicles returned for the same issue.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Preferably Ugandan National or holder of Certificate of Residence, but open to Expatriates
- Degree/ diploma in auto mobile engineering or mechanical engineering and or Certificate from a vocational school of auto engineering
- Fluent in English (Spoken & Written)
- 3-4 years in a busy automotive industry dealing with Toyota, Suzuki &
- Volkswagen brands.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven experience and extensive mechanical knowledge as Auto mechanic.
- Technical Proficiency & basic computer skills.
- Safety management skills
- Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for Problem solving & high level of honesty.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle Diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and Customer Care skills
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- A valid driving License.
