About Organisation:
The Parliamentary Pension Scheme (PPS) was established by the Parliamentary Pensions Act 2007 as a Contributory Hybrid Cash Balance Retirement Benefit Plan for the Members of Parliament of Uganda and the Staff of the Parliamentary Commission. The Scheme is managed by a Board of Trustees, constituted in accordance with the Act.
Job Summary: To provide efficient Administrative and Logistical Support Services to the Scheme
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain office equipment and inventory supplies.
- Coordinate and advise on the provision of logistical support services.
- Ensure adequate supply and utilization of office space, equipment, supplies, furniture and facilities.
- Manage stores operations.
- Regularly conduct asset verification and update the schedules accordingly.
- Maintain a proper and secure filing system.
- Ensure regular update of the document management system.
- Ensure timely insurance of Scheme assets.
- Support procurement and disposal operations.
- Coordinate and oversee transport logistics.
- Support the organisation of meetings and events.
- Effectively supervise the Driver.
- Ensure maintenance of a clean and conducive working environment.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An Honours Bachelor’s degree in either Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Commerce, or Office Management obtained from a recognized University/Institution.
- Post graduate qualification in a relevant field is an added advantage
Work Experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience in an administrative position gained from a reputable Organisation
