Job Summary: As Cocoa Sustainability Manager, you will lead the sustainability agenda for our cocoa operations in Uganda, managed by Olam Uganda Limited (OUL). You will be responsible for implementing sustainability strategies, engaging with communities and stakeholders, and driving environmental and resource efficiency initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy for OUL’s cocoa operations.
- Ensure alignment with ofi’s global sustainability goals and frameworks.
- Monitor and report on progress toward ofi Cocoa’s sustainability aspirations.
- Manage and report on existing partnerships with stakeholders and sustainability partners.
- Identify and develop new partnership opportunities to enhance sustainability outcomes.
- Oversee the implementation of environmental programs, including habitat restoration and conservation.
- Design and execute resource efficiency plans to improve operational sustainability.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sustainability management, preferably in agriculture or supply chain contexts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Open-minded, adaptable, and motivated to take on new challenges.
