Job Summary: We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Store Control Clerk to join our dedicated inventory management team. This crucial role is all about keeping our stock accurate and efficient, from tracking items as they come and go, to ensuring every count matches our records. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- As a Store Control Clerk, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Inventory Monitoring: Continuously track incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring all inventory levels are maintained at optimal quantities to meet demand.
- Receiving & Verification: Accurately receive and verify all incoming products against stock movement documents, confirming correct quantities, quality, and condition.
- Stock Adjustments: Conduct regular physical stock counts, meticulously update inventory records, and perform necessary adjustments to maintain precise stock levels.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and maintain detailed reports on inventory levels, stock trends, discrepancies, and movements, including critical daily stock movement reports.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliations of physical stock counts against computer records, proactively investigating and resolving any identified discrepancies.
- Order Tracking: Monitor inventory associated with open orders, ensuring the timely availability and delivery of goods to meet business and customer needs.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies or issues promptly, ensuring all records remain accurate and consistent.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and warehouse protocols to maintain a secure and efficient working environment.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: University degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related discipline).
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of proven experience in inventory control or a closely related field. Experience in warehouse or stock management is highly desirable.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Inventory Management Systems: Familiarity with inventory management systems and methods, ensuring accurate and efficient tracking of stock.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills, for managing inventory data, analysis, and generating reports. Experience with dedicated inventory software is a significant plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring unparalleled accuracy in stock counts, reports, and transaction records.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with team members, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Data Entry Proficiency: Proficient in basic computer skills, including accurate and efficient data entry and comprehensive management of inventory records.
