Job Title: Senior Financial and Tax Supervisor

About Organisation:
Avanti Energy Services Limited (Avanti) is a Ugandan national company, which engages in providing services to the upstream oil and gas production industry within Uganda. Avanti was awarded a contract by a major oil and gas service company to source and employ in excess of 100 Ugandan engineers, technicians, operators and laborers to support their oil drilling operations within Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Officer with tax planning and compliance.
- Lead tax inspections and dispute resolutions.
- Monitor tax reforms in Uganda, focusing on financial and tax policy changes.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with accounting firms.
- Train junior team members.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or taxation; CPA or tax agent certificates preferred.
- Experience: Over 4 years in finance and tax, including 3+ years in the petroleum or mining industry; experience with “Big Four” accounting firms is a plus.
