Job Summary: As a professionally trained Security Officer for G4S, you could be a member of the security team responsible for securing premises, such as building sites, courts, shops, warehouses, banks and factories as well as ports and airports. You would be conducting foot or vehicle patrols, controlling access at points of entry, securing equipment and people, responding to emergency situations, monitoring CCTV and surveillance equipment and helping to identify and prevent criminal activity.
A Security Officer patrols a building(s)/site to ensure safety and protection for the property and personnel. Often, they oversee security for a specific building or area during their shift. If there is a problem related to criminal activity, a safety issue, unauthorized personnel at the location or other similar disturbances, a security guard solves the problem or contacts authorities to help solve it.
