About Organisation:
The Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA), is a government agency established by the Parliament of Uganda to monitor, investigate, and prevent money laundering in the country. It is also responsible for the enforcement of Uganda’s anti-money laundering laws and the monitoring of all financial transactions inside the country’s borders.
Job Summary: To provide Secretarial, administrative and office managerial services in the Financial Intelligence Authority.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, open, sort, screen and prioritize all incoming written correspondence for each department/division to ensure distribution and follow up on any responses if required
- Create and maintain a filing system for all documents (soft copy and hard copy) that enables easy retrieval as and when required
- Deal with telephone and email enquiries and direct to the appropriate office;
- Create and maintain an up-to-date contact list for all departments
- Schedule meetings both internal and external for the different departments when required
- Organise staff meetings, and maintain a formal record of the meetings;
- Perform typing duties on behalf of the Authority (ED, Deputy ED and Commissioners);
- Maintain stationery and equipment for the secretarial area
- Photocopy and print various documents, sometimes on behalf of staff members if and when required
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Secretarial Studies/ Business Management, Business Administration or any other related degree from a recognized University/institution

- Knowledge and ability to understand the Authority’s vision, mission and Objectives;
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Should possess values of the Authority which include; integrity, confidentiality, Accountability, professionalism.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written;

- Planning, Organizing and Coordination skills;
- Record keeping and Information Management skills;
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload and can multitask;
- Works well independently and as part of a team;
