Job Summary: We are looking for a Sales Agent to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This position requires an individual who thrives in a collaborative and innovative environment, is customer-focused, and possesses a proactive mindset. You will be working independently under the direct supervision of the Business Development Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and target new commercial and industrial clients for solar solutions.
- Conduct product presentations and provide technical consultations to customers.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to close sales deals.
- Coordinate with technical and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Track and manage sales leads using CRM software.
- Stay updated on industry trends, solar technologies, and market developments.
- Provide customers with regular updates on project progress and after-sales service.
- Focus on finding clients and closing sales.
- May have limited involvement in after-sales service or internal company matters.
- Works more externally (fieldwork, outreach, door-to-door, etc.)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or other related fields.
- 7-12 years of relevant experience in sales.
- Active Listening, Persuasion, Judgment and Decision Making skills are essential.
- Knowledge of Sales and Marketing and Customer and Personal Service is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be advantageous:
- Experience in planning, assembling, and stocking product displays in retail stores.
- Knowledge in Computers and Electronics.
- Complex Problem Solving skills.
