Job Summary: We are looking for a Quality Control Chemist who will run the testing and adjusting quality parameters to produce and maintain high quality output in coordination with various production teams in line with the standard requirements, participate in establishing profound strategies to maximize quality with optimal resource inputs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Test the quality of batches and store retained samples.
- Create and update the retained sample database regularly.
- Make adjustments to quality parameters i.e., viscosity, specific gravity, gloss levels, color and contrast, spraying automotives among others as per the quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot on critical problem situations within the quality control umbrella to ensure conformance standards.
- Conduct raw material evaluating and comparison tests.
- Assist in product orientation and technical training of sales personnel whenever called upon.
- Assist in process controlling and resolving customer complaints.
- Participate in activities of QMS& EMS to ensure the management system runs according to the standard requirements.
- Participate in Occupational Health and Safety Management System ISO 45001:2018 activities.
- Assist in management of waste practices.
- Carry out waste water analysis for effluent discharge.
- Perform any other duties assigned as need may arise
- OHS, EMS and QMS standard operations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry or equivalent.
Entry Level.
- Profound understanding of chemical manufacturing dynamics.
- Interpersonal & Communication skills.
- Sound attention to detail.
- Strong initiative.
- Understanding of QMS, EMS and OHS requirements.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge in administering First Aid and Fire Fighting
