Project Summary:
Multi – Tusobola Project’s focuses on Enhancing equitable quality education and health-related outcomes for children and youth in low-income settlements in Kampala. The outcomes are: 1) Increased integration of play-based learning (PBL) approaches by education authorities, teachers, and coaches into the curriculum, classroom teaching, and sports sessions. 2)1 Increased adoption of safe, healthy, and sustainable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), and environmental protection practices among children and youth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Activity Planning and Implementation – 60%
- Supports Project Coordinators (PC) in the planning and implementation of all components of the Right To Play program assigned to.
- Supports community coaches/care-givers/peer-educators/teachers in developing their activity plans and schedules, encourages their initiatives while ensuring alignment with project proposal, facilitates their activities and reports to the Project Coordinators.
- Conducts or supports in the organization of special events activities, play days and sports tournaments.
- Assists Project Coordinators in facilitating the training sessions conducted by community coaches/care-givers/peer- educators/teachers, evaluates them and reports to the Project Coordinators.
Monitoring and Reporting – 20%
- In collaboration with Project Coordinators, handles equipment management and distribution in the assigned community.
- Participates in workshops/training to partners, community coaches/care- givers/peer-educators/teachers in the quantitative data collection tools and qualitative monitoring tools.
- Document project activities and share activity reports on a monthly basis.
Administrative support – 15%
- Completes basic administrative duties to support the program.
- Support in development of Concept Notes and Purchase Requestion Forms for program/project activities.
- Any other activity assigned – 5%
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Current student or recent graduate of bachelor’s degree in social sciences, education, or any related discipline.
