Job Summary: We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and long-term growth of all three business units: Microfinance, Labour Recruitment, and Vehicle Tracking. The ideal candidate will be a multi-sector leader with experience in business operations, financial services, human resource management, and technology-driven service delivery.
The Manager will report directly to the Company Directors and be responsible for strategic leadership, operational oversight, business development, regulatory compliance, and team performance across the company’s divisions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
General Oversight across all units
- Provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the three business units.
- Ensure cross-functional coordination and efficient resource use across departments.
- Lead the development and execution of annual business plans and budgets.
- Monitor performance indicators and ensure achievement of unit-specific and corporate targets.
- Uphold compliance with all legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to each business line (e.g., UMRA for microfinance, Ministry of Gender and Externalization regulations for labor recruitment, and transport regulations for tracking services).
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, regulators, suppliers, and partners.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance management, and team cohesion.
Microfinance Unit
- Oversee loan operations, ensure credit risk is minimized, and grow a healthy loan portfolio.
- Ensure effective customer relationship management, product innovation, and compliance with UMRA standards.
Labour Recruitment Unit
- Oversee client sourcing, vetting, contract compliance, and external recruitment partnerships.
- Ensure ethical recruitment practices and adherence to Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development guidelines.
Vehicle Tracking Unit
- Supervise operations of tracking installations, client support, and technology vendor coordination.
- Ensure service quality, real-time monitoring systems, and client satisfaction standards are upheld.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resource Management, ICT, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, preferably across multiple business functions or in a diversified company.
- Experience in at least two of the three sectors (microfinance, labour recruitment, or tracking/technology services) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Ugandan regulatory environments including UMRA and labour export requirements.
- Proven ability to manage teams, drive business growth, and maintain operational excellence.
- Excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and leadership maturity.
