Job Title: M and E Manager

About Organisation:
Nurture Africa (NA) is a Non-Governmental Organisation operating in Wakiso, Hoima, Arua and Mubende Districts. NA is committed to contribute towards the health and development of the most vulnerable children in its areas of operation through high quality education, health care, Children’s rights and Sustainable livelihood programs enabling them to become positive influences in Ugandan society. Its primarily targets HIV infected and affected orphans and vulnerable children and works with their families holistically to enable sustainable change to occur.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the M&E Team, defining their responsibilities by specific program/project to ensure timely, efficient, and effective monitoring and evaluation.
- Identify M&E training needs for the team and collaborate with HR to plan and implement relevant trainings.
- Coach, train, and monitor M&E Coordinator and officers to strengthen their technical capacity and provide professional development guidance.
- Manage evaluation processes, including liaising with external stakeholders, creating terms of reference, and ensuring baseline studies are conducted and stored.
- Design and implement a system to document and disseminate lessons learned from program activities, ensuring they inform new project development.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an M&E management role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Quantitative Economics, Population Studies, Economic Policy, or Social Sciences.
- Postgraduate training in M&E is an added advantage.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and operating project M&E systems from initiation to closeout.
