Job Summary: We are expanding our multi cultural team and are looking for a dynamic Head of Product & Marketing to drive our brand on the East Africa market forward and expand our product portfolio, including ground-breaking services like smartphone financing. This pivotal role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, directly impacting our sales performance and market presence.
NB: Relocation to East Africa is required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Brand & Communication Strategy
- Lead all external communications—visual, written, and digital—to ensure brand consistency and resonance.
- Strengthen Mogo’s brand positioning through strategic public relations initiatives.
- Design and implement social media strategies to boost awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
Product Strategy & Development
- Define and execute the company’s product development roadmap, aligning with market needs and customer insights.
- Identify and implement upselling, cross-selling, and product bundling opportunities.
- Launch and scale new products (e.g., Smartphone Financing, Boda Logbook Loans) based on market demand.
Marketing Campaigns & Promotions
- Develop and lead comprehensive digital marketing strategies focused on sales growth.
- Plan and manage end-to-end campaigns and product-specific promotions.
- Drive customer acquisition and retention through data-driven marketing initiatives.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead key initiatives that support operational efficiency and revenue growth.
- Collaborate closely with sales, product, and operations teams to align marketing and business priorities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Must-haves
- Proven experience in marketing, product management, or commercial leadership roles.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and launch products that meet market needs and deliver business results.
- Hands-on experience with digital marketing tools and channels (e.g., Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO).
- Strong understanding of brand communication, PR, and social media strategy.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering results through collaboration.
- Track record of planning and executing marketing campaigns with measurable sales impact.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
- A clear commercial mindset—comfortable owning sales as a key performance indicator.
