Their responsibilities typically include administrative and customer service duties, ensuring that patients and their families feel welcomed, informed, and well-assisted throughout their visit. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greeting and Assisting Patients: Welcome and direct patients, verify personal and insurance info, and assist with check-ins.
- Appointment Scheduling: Handle phone calls to schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments and ensure smooth record transitions.
- Administrative Support: Maintain and update patient records, manage paperwork, and keep office supplies stocked.
- Communication and Coordination: Act as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative teams; communicate appointment reminders and follow-ups.
- Patient Confidentiality: Ensure strict adherence to regulations and secure handling of sensitive information.
- Handling Emergencies: Direct patients to emergency services or alert the medical team when necessary, staying calm in urgent situations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Candidates with customer service experience, whether in healthcare or other industries like retail, hospitality, or office administration.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, such as working as a receptionist or office assistant, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with scheduling, patient coordination, and administrative tasks is highly valued.
- Additionally, prior experience in a front desk or administrative role, even outside healthcare, demonstrates the ability to manage office environments and interact with clients or patients effectively.
- Skills: Strong communication, Medicals claims knowledge. organizational, and time management skills, proficiency in office software, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team. Willing to work day/ night shifts
