Job Summary: The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial management of OML Uganda Limited, including financial reporting, taxation, budget monitoring, compliance, and overall financial strategy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Management Accounts
- Financial Transactions & Compliance
- Audit & Annual Financial Statements
- Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Tax Management and Compliance
- Other assigned duties
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification in CPA or ACCA or CIMA.
- Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Membership in a recognized professional accounting body (e.g., ICPAU, ACCA, CIMA).
- Must be a Ugandan citizen
Experience
- Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role.
- Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in using financial systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP.
- Knowledge of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and financial risk management.
- Preferred
- Experience working in a multinational or regional company.
- Familiarity with fleet management financial systems like FleetWave.
- Prior experience in the logistics or leasing industry.
Skills / Knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Excellent understanding of IFRS and GAAP financial principles.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in process automation and system optimization.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Knowledge of Uganda’s financial regulatory environment.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
