Job Summary: The purpose of this role is to coordinate all cargo Operations in a timely and cost-efficient manner for and on behalf of the Company. Uganda job listings

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure zero cargo delays orchestrated by the company.
  • 100% document check and management for all files.
  • Safe delivery of 100% of all cargo assigned to DTL/RID.
  • Timely clearance of cargo at ports, borders, airports and ICDs
  • Ensure zero extra charges to the company like port storage, demurrage, and double handling charges.
  • Accuracy and timely submission of tax worksheets.
  • Ensure 10% savings on Operational Costs.
  • Ensure accurate entries into Customs systems.
  • Ensure no penalties from customs or other cross-border regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure no tariff abuses.
  • Ensure no more than 2 transit out standings per month.
  • Ensure the smooth coordination with other stakeholders like customs, port authorities, cargo handlers, carriers and agents.
  • Manage the company’s relationship with revenue authorities and other cross-border regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure adherence to QHSSE requirements while running the operations of the company.
  • Advise clients on border processes and document requirements for smooth customs clearance.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • A Degree in Clearing and Forwarding Practice or Logistics and Supply Chain is a desirable
  • EACFFPC is Desirable.
  • At least 3 years of progressive working experience in a similar managerial role.
  • Computer Literacy (Windows, MS Office) is required. Personal Attributes

  • Efficiency, planning & good organizational skills
  • Good Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good presentation and Interpersonal skills
  • Discretion when dealing with confidential information.
  • Professional and ethical with absolute honesty.
  • Able to manage a team.
  • Integrity and a strong sense of responsibility
