Job Summary: The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions at the point of sale. This role involves handling cash, credit, and debit transactions, as well as ensuring a smooth checkout experience for customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they approach the register and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about products and services.
- Monitor and manage cash drawer, ensuring accuracy and security at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Perform basic stock management duties, such as restocking shelves and organizing merchandise as needed.
- Follow company policies regarding cash handling and loss prevention
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Diploma in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration or any related field from a recognized institution;
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Basic math skills and proficiency with cash handling.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
