The Agent Banking Company (ABC) was established in 2017 by Uganda Banker’s Association (UBA) the umbrella organization for commercial banks in Uganda and Eclectics a pan-African technology company. Similar to the Mobile Money model, Agent Banking empowers commercial banks to appoint agents to provide banking services such as deposits, withdrawals and more on their behalf. Agents can be the local shopkeeper, kiosk owners, supermarket attendant or anyone in your community who has been authorized by your bank.
Job Summary: Agent Banking Company (ABC) is seeking 6 dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executives to lead market expansion and client acquisition for our Integrated Financial Solutions (IFS) platform. This role is responsible for driving pipeline growth, building strategic partnerships, and closing B2B deals with financial institutions including SACCOs, MFIs, Fintechs, Banks, Businesses, and Remittance Companies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales & Market Development
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities aligned to IFS platform solutions.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients in the FinTech and financial services ecosystem.
- Conduct market mapping of SACCOs, MFIs, banks, businesses and digital lenders.
- Lead product presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements with prospects.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and manage relationships with C-level executives and technical teams at client institutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor on digital transformation, compliance, and onboarding strategies.
- Support pre-sales documentation including proposals, pricing, and contracts.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate client data, lead status, and pipeline metrics in CRM tools.
- Generate weekly reports on leads, conversions, demos, and feedback.
Collaboration & Strategy
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Compliance, and Customer Success teams to align client needs with IFS offerings.
- Provide insights to product teams for platform enhancement based on market and client feedback.
- Support marketing campaigns and GTM initiatives including “Go Digital in 10 Days.”
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, IT, Marketing or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in financial technology, digital banking.
- Proven ability to close enterprise-level deals in regulated sectors.
- Strong understanding of digital onboarding, KYC/AML compliance, and financial systems is a plus.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Comfortable with CRM systems, LinkedIn prospecting, and proposal development.
