NIC General Insurance Company Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of NIC Holdings Limited (NIC). NIC General Insurance Company Limited was incorporated on 3rd March, 2014 and took over the general insurance businesses of NIC in compliance with the legal requirement for separation of insurance businesses under the Insurance (Amendment) Act.

 

Job Summary: To drive business growth and profitability through the effective management of broker relationships by ensuring excellent service delivery, expanding the broker network, and implementing strategic sales initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining relationships through developing strong relationships with brokers, understanding their needs, and providing support.
  • Perform business development initiatives by identifying opportunities to grow business with existing brokers and expanding the broker network.
  • Staying up-to-date with insurance products and services to effectively communicate with brokers.
  • Provide broker support through assisting with policy issuance, claims, and other issues that may arise.
  • Serve as a liaison between the insurance company and brokers, ensuring effective communication.
  • Provide training and educational resources to brokers on insurance products and services.
  • Ensure performance monitoring through tracking and analyzing broker performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Issue resolutions to issues and complaints from brokers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete a granular evaluation of broker panel to drive maximum penetration/profit.
  • Implement the NIC General Insurance Company Limited Marketing strategy and objectives through all allocated brokers.
  • Work alongside underwriters and the wider business to provide brokers with a market leading service proposition.
  • Achieve set targets through strategic planning and execution i.e. formulating sales strategies for different products and achieving agreed targets
  • Overseeing the service level agreements (SLAs) with the Insurance Brokers and ensuring implementation of the agreed service levels. i.e., ensuring timely service delivery as per agreed standards
  • Submit weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Goals and Objectives

  • Increase broker satisfaction: Ensure high levels of broker satisfaction through excellent service and support.
  • Grow business: Increase business volume and revenue through existing brokers and expanding the broker network.
  • Improve broker relationships: Strengthen relationships with brokers, improving communication and collaboration.
  • Achieve Annual Targets: Help the company to achieve annual targets for businesses acquired through brokers.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing or any relevant degree from a recognized University.
  • Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance is an added advantage
  • At least 5 years of experience in the role.

Job skills and abilities:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and Oral.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with brokers.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and services.
  • Ability to resolve issues and complaints effectively.
  • Analytical skills, ability to analyze data and track performance metrics.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Excellent computer proficiency in Ms Word, Ms Excel, PowerPoint and Internet usage.
  • Good Interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience with leading Teams.
  • Emotional Intelligence.
  • Organizational skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
