Job Summary: A Biscuit Oven Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a production line within a biscuit manufacturing facility. He leads a team of Oven Operators, manages the production process, and maintains a safe and hygienic work environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- He is also responsible for leading and motivating their team, responsible of managing production schedules, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
- Monitoring team performance and providing feedback
- Coordinate and plan production priorities, workflow, and schedule.
- Identify and report operational and maintenance problems to prevent production delays.
- Schedule routine inspection and maintenance of the production line to prevent equipment breakdowns and malfunctioning.
- Identifying and resolving production issues, such as equipment malfunctions or quality problems.
- Overseeing quality control throughout the process Line.
- Ensure safety measures and procedures are followed to reduce unexpected incidents and hazards.
- Ensure the production processes are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring all production processes are completed before deadlines.
- Updating the food Controller on the status of production processes.
- Liaising and coordinating production with other sections.
- Overseeing the setup and operation of production equipment.
- Monitoring production processes and adjusting as needed.
- Communicating daily objectives, performance updates, and important information to the team.
- Completing Production process control documentation, recording material usage, and maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma, in mechanical, Electrical, electronics or similar.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
- The ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with team members.
- Ability to identify and resolve production issues.
- Knowledge of biscuit production processes, machinery, and equipment.
- Understanding of quality control procedures and standards.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Previous experience working in a related industry preferred.
- Ability to supervise production teams confidently and proactively.
- Exceptional analytical ability toward solving Production-related concerns.
- Availability of working extended hours to meet deadlines, when necessary.
