Job Summary: A mixing team leader is responsible for overseeing the process of combining raw materials to create biscuit products ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. He leads a team of mixing operators, manages the mixing process, and maintains a safe and hygienic work environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leading and motivating a team of production operators within the mixing area.
- Ensuring all mixing procedures are followed accurately, including measuring and combining ingredients.
- Verifying that manufactured components meet quality standards and production targets.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to food safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of mixing equipment.
- Monitoring consumable inventory levels and potentially assisting with ordering and inventory accuracy.
- Identifying and resolving any issues that arise during the mixing process, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Maintaining accurate records of temperature, time, and other relevant data.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma, in Food science and processing Tech, or similar.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
- The ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with team members.
- Ability to operate and work with mechanical and electrical machinery.
- Knowledge of biscuit production processes, machinery, and equipment.
- Understanding of quality control procedures and standards.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Previous experience working in a related industry preferred.
- Availability of working extended hours to meet deadlines, when necessary.
