Job Summary: The Accounts Assistant will report directly to the Kampala office and serve as the coordinator of accounts in the respective area.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: This includes the following responsibilities:
- Manage petty cash, submission of budgets and petty cash reports
- Audit and approve of movements of products and materials in the business.
- Oversee routine stock counts and confirm figures in monthly reports
- Submit daily and monthly reports regarding production and stock movements
- Oversee accountability and reconciliation for cash and inventory
- Coordinate documentation and payment for outgoing supplies and materials
- Manage company documentation and stationary requirements for the office.
- Support with fulfillment of coffee received and the dispatches.
- Submit company invoices on daily basis and submit AP list on weekly basis
- Follow up on AP list
- Reconcile shared expenses and staff payments and other involved materials.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Fluent English
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts department for a Ugandan registered company or entity.
- Degree in relevant Account or Finance field. Progress completed towards CPA or ACCA is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of MS Office suit. Experience in SUN ERP is an added advantage
- Positive attitude, attention to detail and good communication skills
