Key Duties and Responsibilities: This is an on-site internship role for a Sales and Marketing Intern at FortiBanc Group (U) LTD in Kampala. The Sales and Marketing Intern will be responsible for:
- Distribute flyers, talk to people in public spaces or post online about the company’s services and products
- Explain the company’s products and services to potential customers
- Collect leads or contact information from interested customers
- Represent the company at marketing campaigns, events and promotions
- Provide daily/weekly sales reports
- Cross check daily customer transactions and reconcile withe the line manger
- Meet daily / monthly targets and beyond
- Maintain professional conduct while representing the company
- Client acquisition and prospecting; generating new daily customers and following up the old ones
- Sales pitching and negotiation; providing extended information about Fortibanc group products and services ensuring to close the sale
- Be the ears and eyes of Fortibanc group in the field and report back any relevant feedback to your line manager either verbally or written.
- Customer relationship management: Build and maintain strong long term relationships with customers to facilitate repeat customers and referrals
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
- Good conduct and trustworthy
- Flexible and a team player
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of financial services is a plus
- At least one year experience in sales and marketing or relevant field
- At least A level minimal qualification
- Should possess a smartphone
