Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

The company has 25 years of experience in the production and commercialization of high-quality agricultural seed such as cereals and pulses, as well as the distributor of East West International hybrid vegetables seeds. NASECO has its head office in Kampala and production plant in Nalweyo Kakumiro district.
Job Summary: Implement Quality standards along the production and processing cycles in line with Quality Assurance protocols and industry regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- In liaison with the Quality Assurance Manager, develop and implement Quality standards.
- Continuously evaluate quality processes and prepare proposals for improvements in quality processes, systems, protocols to improve efficiency, precision and reliability.
- Implement and monitor quality standards at all stages of seed production and processing.
- Quality control including inspections, sampling and seed testing in the field and in the seed processing plant.
- Monitor that quality protocols are followed during seed processing.
- Stock dispatch and verification
- Prepare and submit weekly reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Participate and contribute in weekly meetings.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or any other related Agriculture degree. Professional Experience: At least two years’ experience in seed production and quality management.
- Competencies: Supervisory skills; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Organizational skills; Keen and attentive to detail, Time management skills; Analytical and problem solving skills; Self driven, High degree of integrity. Physically fit; able to work long hours under different weather conditions; Ability to ride a motorcycle with a valid riding permit; Understanding of the local languages of the selected area of operation; Computer skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
