Job Summary: Are you passionate about quality, detail-oriented, and driven by results? Jakana Foods is producing premium biodegradable hair products right here in Uganda and is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager / Quality Analyst to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards across the product line.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee final product quality control before distribution
- Supervise equipment calibration and ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain and implement quality control protocols
- Generate and present detailed quality reports
- Monitor raw material quality and shelf-life
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with production, packaging, and procurement teams
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Train staff on quality best practices and hygiene protocols
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Ideal Candidate Should Have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance or control
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint a must)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
- A proactive and cost-conscious mindset
- Experience with cosmetics or personal care products is a plus
Preferred Degree:
- Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
