Community Empowerment for Creative Innovation (CECI) is a registered Nonprofit Community-Based Organization incorporated in Uganda whose mission is to promote peace, self-reliance and dignity through recreational activities, education and other innovations going beyond relief and development.
Job Summary: The Program Officer will oversee the implementation of solar electric cooking activities, coordinate stakeholders, engage communities, and ensure the adoption of clean cooking technologies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate solar e-cooking activities under SOLCO.
- Liaise with Mercy Corps (SOLCO National Lead) and Last Mile Climate.
- Mobilize refugee/host communities for e-cooking adoption.
- Train stakeholders, monitor progress, and report impacts.
- Collaborate with local governments, private sector, and NGOs.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of project management/partnership experience.
- Knowledge of clean cooking technologies (advantageous).
- Familiarity with Bidibidi context and local languages (e.g., Aringa, Arabic).
- Passion for climate justice and energy access.
