Job Title: Human Resource Assistant (Fresher NGO Jobs)

About Organisation:
Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) is an NGO providing adult education and community development among refugees in Uganda since 1997 as an operational partner to OPM and UNHCR.
Job Summary: The primary responsibility is to ensure that the Human Resource procedures are followed and implemented in compliance with the FRC defined systems and processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in recruitment, placement and separation process of staff in line with FRC procedures.
- Arrange and prepare orientation schedules for newly hired staff and provide them with the necessary start-up paperwork.
- In liaison with the HR Manager, monitor the performance management of staff.
- Prepare support staff’s on-boarding documentation.
- Provide updates for both medical and GPA insurances and act as insurance focal point for staff.
- Ensure that systematic personal filing systems (physical and electronic) are up to date.
- Prepare monthly payroll and related documentation to justify the transactions.
- Update leave database and provide monthly updates to staff on the use.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly HR report.
- Print, photocopy, bind, file and scan official documents when required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other relevant such as Business Administration with specialization on HR, Industrial & Organizational Psychology or Social Science combined with HR related work experience.
Experience:
- At least 1 years’ experience in Human Resource Management.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent verbal and written communication ability.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Well organised with good analytical report writing skills.
- Computer literate with knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
