Job Summary: Sokoni Africa Limited is in search of a motivated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping staff and ensuring that the hotel’s cleanliness and hygiene standards are met. Your leadership skills will be essential in maintaining a pristine environment for our guests and enhancing their overall experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff on best practices and company policies
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and checklists
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed
- Address guest complaints and requests in a prompt and professional manner
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management preferred
- Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar role within the hotel industry
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to manage a team effectively and foster a positive work environment
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
