About Organisation:

Centenary Publishing House Ltd is a Church of Uganda entity entrusted with the responsibility of publishing and distributing Prayer and Hymn books in various local languages, Christian and other liturgical literature in Uganda.

 

Job Summary:

  • Drive the company towards goal achievement, business growth and oversee daily operations
  • Stakeholder management
  • General staff supervision

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily business operations and staff engagement
  • Spearhead development and implementation of Strategic and Operational Business Plans for the institution and ensure that they are in harmony with the overall strategic and business direction of CCHCL
  • Ensure timely development of annual workplans and budgets for the institution
  • Improve revenue and id entity means of investments
  • Uphold and promote the institution’s mission and values at all times
  • Solicit manuscripts for publication
  • Periodically review staff productivity and performance
  • Ensure compliance to relevant laws and implementation of all the institution’s policies
  • In liaison with the Accountant, ensure proper budget management, timely and accurate financial periodical reporting
  • Produce periodic performance and financial reports for the institution to respective internal organs i.e., monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual
  • Drive customer growth, centricity and satisfaction
  • Drive high quality standards and customer service, proactively attend to customer feedbacks and complaints

 




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in Organization Management, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship a related filed
  • At least 5 years relevant hands-on work experience
  • Solid understanding of publishing business and operations
  • Ability lo work flexible hours, weekends or public holidays
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Leadership skills and analytical thinking
  • Team wording skills
  • Marketing and sales skills
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • Proven integrity
  • Practicing and commitment to Christian values
