Job Summary: We are now seeking a creative, self-motivated, and highly skilled Chef to take ownership of our kitchen and bring our food vision to life.

Your Role:

As our Chef, you will be the creative force behind our kitchen. You’ll design, prepare, and deliver flavourful dishes that reflect both local tastes and international standards. You will lead the culinary team, manage kitchen operations, and ensure each guest leaves with a memorable dining experience.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a varied and appealing menu, with an emphasis on quality and freshness.
  • Lead kitchen operations, including preparation, plating, and timely delivery of meals.
  • Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards.
  • Ensure food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety protocols are consistently upheld.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, cost control, and supplier relationships.
  • Innovate with seasonal ingredients and contribute ideas for food-based promotions.
  • Work collaboratively with the Restaurant Manager to create a seamless front- and back-of-house experience.

  • Passionate about food, flavours, and presentation.
  • A go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and takes initiative without waiting to be told.
  • Creative and open to experimenting with traditional and contemporary dishes.
  • A team player who inspires others through skill and positive energy.
  • Focused on quality and consistency, no matter how busy things get.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant or resort setting
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a small culinary team.
  • Deep understanding of Ugandan cuisine with openness to fusion and global culinary trends.
  • Excellent kitchen management and cost control abilities.
  • Willingness to relocate to Ntungamo District.
