CIC General Insurance Uganda Limited is a subsidiary company of CIC Insurance Group from Nairobi, Kenya that is owned 75% by co-operatives and 25% by individual shareholders. CIC General Insurance (U) is a joint venture of CIC Kenya and the Co-operative movement in Uganda. The company is fully incorporated and licensed to transact General Insurance business. In addition to the General policies available for institutions, corporate, individual and all categories of entities, the Company serves all Co-operative Societies in Uganda along the Co-operative Model.
Job Summary: To drive business acquisition by managing the end-to-end process of responding to tenders and proposals, ensuring compliance, competitiveness, and alignment with organizational objectives. To support revenue growth by securing new business opportunities through well-prepared and compelling bids that meet client and regulatory requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identifying and Evaluating Opportunities: this involves searching for potential insurance bidding opportunities, understanding client needs, and assessing the company’s risk appetite in relation to the opportunities identified.
• Compilation of Bids: which involves the drafting of accurate proposals as per bidding with clarity and compliance.
• Physical presence at all pre-bid meetings, bid openings and sharing prompt updates
• Coordinating with various departments to ensure there is adequate technical input into the bid proposals and ensure timely submission.
• Submission of a monthly report on all bids submitted, indicating progress on each bid plus any other pertinent information.
• Ensure timely renewal of company subscriptions to relevant bodies such as PPDA, KCCA, Client references, etc.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution

• Excellent communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of procurement and contract laws
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
