Job Summary: We’re hiring a Business Development & Marketing Officer who’s not afraid to get into the field, build relationships, and drive growth. You’ll be the bridge between our sourcing strategy and our brand presence—both online and on
the ground.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agro-processors, farmers, and cooperatives
- Identify and onboard new suppliers across Uganda and East Africa
- Contribute to our supplier database with field insights and verified data
- Represent Obunji Exports at trade shows, buyer meetings, and promotional events
- Design and execute marketing strategies that support our export goals
- Manage digital campaigns, content, and brand visibility
- Track performance and optimize outreach based on real data
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Agribusiness, or related field
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in marketing, business development, or sales
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building partnerships
- Willingness to travel and engage directly with suppliers
- Bonus: Experience with CRM tools, digital marketing, or export trade
