Job Title: Systems Administrator

About Organisation:
The Engineers Registration Board (ERB) was established by the Engineers Registration Act, Cap 271. It’s primary function will be to regulate and control engineers and their activities within Uganda, and to advise Government in relation thereto. It has wide ranging powers to register, deregister, restore registration, suspend registration, hold inquiries, hear appeals and appear as respondents against a case brought against it in the High Court.
Job Summary: The Board is seeking to recruit a SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR to support the secretariat.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An Honor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university.
- A relevant professional certification is an added advantage (eg, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Comp TIA Network+/Security+)
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure management, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing or supporting licensing platforms, e government/ agency systems, or enterprise management software, windows/Linux servers, email systems, backups, firewalls, and virtualization technologies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of web-based platforms, server management, and relational databases, preferably MS SQL. Server, MySQL, or Oracle.
