Job Title: Senior Manager Export Development and Promotion

About Organisation:
Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotions Authority (UFZEPA) is a Statutory Government Agency established by the Free Zones (Amendment) Act 30 of 2024, and is responsible for the establishment, development, management, marketing, maintenance, supervision and control of Free Zones; the development, promotion and coordination of all export-related activities; and to provide for related matters.
Job Summary: To provide strategic leadership and guidance in the development of promotion and management of exports.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing and supervising the implementation of regulations, policies, guidelines and standards on export marketing requirements;
- Developing and supervising the implementation of data driven export, strategies and analyzing market trends;
- Overseeing the identification of opportunities for automation to increase efficiency and reduce costs in export processes;
- Providing technical Support and guidance to Ugandan firms in marketing their exports;
- Tendering technical advice to the Executive Director and other Stakeholders in exports marketing;
- Developing product profiles for selected products and services for the guidance of exporters, export associations and other business community;
- Profiling services for developed and selected services for the guidance of exporters, export associations, exporters and other business community; and
- Supervising and appraising staff.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Academic Qualifications Either:
- A Honors’ Bachelor’s Degree in either Marketing, International Business, Business Administration Economics, Information Technology, Computer Science and Data Communications, Information Management Systems, Agricultural Economics or Agri- Business from a recognized University or Institution.
Or:
- Full professional qualification/ Membership of Marketing (CIM) from a recognized awarding institution
- A master’s degree in either Marketing, International Business, Business Administration, Economics or Agri – Business from a recognized Institution.
Working Experience
- At least twelve (12) years working experience, three (3) of which should have been at Manager level from a reputable organization
