Job Summary:  We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team. You will be responsible for delivering the English National Curriculum to a class of primary pupils, fostering both academic success and personal development. This role offers an opportunity to shape young minds during a crucial stage in their education, helping them gain confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the KS2 English National Curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to cater for the needs of all learners, ensuring every pupil is challenged and supported.
  • Assess and track pupil progress through ongoing formative and summative assessments, using this information to inform future planning.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, cooperation, and a thirst for knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupils’ academic and pastoral needs.
  • Uphold school policies and procedures, promoting high standards of behaviour and positive attitudes to learning.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification, with a specialism or proven experience in primary education.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 English National Curriculum and current educational practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Organised, adaptable, and able to differentiate instruction to meet varied learning styles and abilities.
  • Passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that inspires pupils to achieve their full potential.
