Context & Environment
- Implements the companies Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Objectives
- Verifies and records receipts of packed products against the delivery documents based on condition and quantity.
- Ensures that the products are stacked correctly in the warehouse.
- Ensure FIFO across on product grades in the warehouse
- Manages the stock control of the products.
- Ensures that product is dispatched off to customers timely.
- Prepares the lubricants daily stock sheet.
- Prepares the monthly stock report
- Ensure all product returns are reconciled, and necessary documents raised for approval
- Ensures that the forklift is used and maintained in good condition.
- Ensure proper maintenance for all the equipment at the warehouse
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Favorable:
- Availability of procedures and work instructions
- Functional guidance from the Lubricants Warehouse Supervisor.
Unfavorable:
- A continuous lifting, ferrying and stacking operation with relatively heavy packages.
- Working at heights during stacking and stock control.
- Work with who need constant training and for some, who try to steal some of the product.
- Mishandling of products enroute the depots resulting in damages and leakages.
- Working mostly with casual workers who need constant vigilance.
- Report two incidents per month and two stop card events in a year
- Eliminate fatalities and injuries in the lubricants warehouse
- Ensure that all casuals have the appropriate PPE at all times
- Timely preparation of daily and monthly reports to the lubricants warehouse supervisor
- Eliminate operational losses in the lubricant warehouse.
- Minimize / eliminate delays in loading and offloading of trucks.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Good Business-related Degree field
- At least Level 2 professional certification is preferred
- Good Analytical skills for inventory control
- Management and Supervisory ability
- Good Computer skills
- Ability to drive the forklift is an added advantage.
