Job Summary: Quantum Foods has a career opportunity at its Ugandan subsidiary for a Managing Director to join their team. Quantum Foods has a career opportunity for an individual who displays a high level of energy and is a self- motivator at its subsidiary in Uganda. Quantum Foods is looking for a Managing Director to join their team in Kampala. This position will report directly to the Quantum Foods Executive: Africa Operations and will be responsible for delivering on all business results for Quantum Foods Uganda’s operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement, drive and deliver the organization’s strategy
- Deliver business results in relation to sales, marketing, cost management and all operational efficiencies
- Deliver financial results (profit after tax, ROA, asset turnover, cost per unit)
- Manage a team of people in delivering on set goals
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Relevant 3 year Degree/ National Diploma
- Previous experience in a leadership position with a successful commercial and operational track record of at least 5 years
- Sound financial experience or qualification
- Experience in an Agricultural environment will be advantageous
- Relevant knowledge of or experience of Africa (excluding SA), and specifically Uganda will be advantageous
- Proven track record of successfully managing teams in delivering on agreed goals
- Need to be self-motivated and able to operate to an extent in isolation
- High energy, high intellectual capacity and ability to work constructively with people (customers, suppliers, staff, and government officials) are essential
- Willingness to relocate to Kampala, Uganda – company housing and vehicle provided
