Job Title: Internal Auditor
Organisation: National Council of Sports (NCS)
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
About Organisation:
National Council of Sports (NCS) is a government statutory organization that is mandated by National Sports Act 2023, (Cap 151) to among other things; Promote and Develop all sports activities in country.
Job Summary: To review, appraise and report on the utilization of fiscal resources and effectiveness of the internal financial controls.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Auditing revenue collection for accountability purposes;
- Auditing procurement and payments in line with accounting and financial procedures and regulations;
- Conducting manpower audit in line with the approved budget and work plans;
- Reviewing and advising on Council’s accounting systems in line with the internal controls;
- Monitoring the expenditure of Council in line with the budgetary provisions and financial regulations and
- Preparing and presenting Audit Reports to relevant authorities.
Key Outputs
- Revenue collections audited;
- Procurement and payment audited;
- Manpower audits conducted;
- Technical support to Council provided;
- Expenditure of Council monitored and
- Audit Reports prepared and presented to relevant authorities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in accounting or Financial Management or Business Studies/Administration from a recognized awarding institution.
Experience
- A minimum Two (2) Years working experience as in Audit and compliance in public service or any reputable organization will be an added advantage.
- Part qualification in ACCA, CIA will be an added Advantage

- Ethics and Integrity; and Time management
