Job Summary: Sokoni Africa Limited is looking for a dedicated and highly organized Executive Housekeeper to join our team. As the Executive Housekeeper, you will oversee all housekeeping operations, ensuring that our hotel exceeds cleanliness and presentation standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a welcoming environment for our guests and maintaining the hotel’s reputation for excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including staff supervision and scheduling
- Ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are cleaned to the highest standards
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and quality
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to maintain cleanliness and condition
- Supervise the hiring, training, and evaluation of housekeeping staff
- Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with other departments to provide excellent guest service and coordination
- Monitor and control departmental budgets and expenses
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
- Proven experience as an Executive Housekeeper or in a senior housekeeping role within the hotel industry
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficient in housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
