Job Summary:   The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and supporting revenue growth through strategic outreach and proposal development. You will play a key role in driving business expansion and positioning Swivel Marketing Uganda as a market leader in experiential and integrated marketing solutions.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both existing and new markets
  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, research, and cold outreach
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients
  • Prepare customized presentations, proposals, and marketing materials for client pitches
  • Understand client needs and work with internal teams (creative, operations, finance) to develop appropriate solutions
  • Represent the agency at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums
  • Track industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats
  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities, including pipeline tracking and reporting
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in an advertising, marketing, or media agency
  • Strong network of clients or contacts in FMCG, telecoms, financial services, or similar industries is an added advantage
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a target-driven environment
  • Familiarity with marketing, digital, and brand activation strategies
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
