Job Title: Civil Engineer -Pipeworks

About Organisation:
Tesla Technical services limited was incorporated on 6th day of November the year 2013 with three core business areas which include; power lines and substation works, Building construction and service provision in the telecommunication sector.
Job Summary: The core function is to be responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of pipeline systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and Planning:
- Develop detailed designs for pipeline systems, including layout plans and specifications.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate representations of pipeline routes and structures.
Project Management:
- Oversee all phases of pipeline projects from conception through completion.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to ensure timely project delivery.
Field Inspections:
- Conduct on-site inspections to assess the progress of construction work.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards during the installation process.
Technical Documentation:
- Prepare technical reports and documentation required for regulatory compliance.
- Review client specifications and ensure that all engineering practices meet industry standards.
Co-ordination:
- Work closely with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate project activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project updates, challenges, and solutions.
Research and Development:
- Stay updated on new technologies in pipeline construction methods.
- Conduct research using field data to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is essential.
- Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of experience in pipeline engineering or related areas.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, fluid dynamics, and relevant engineering software tools.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during design or construction phases effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, planning and communication skills.
- Good command of both written and spoken English.
- Good computer skills.
- High security awareness.
- Excellent team player.
