The Church in pursuing its vision has experienced exponential growth in the past 40 years and currently comprises 17 Celebration Centers (Church campuses), 3 Children’s villages, 2 Baby Homes, an FM radio station, Schools and some farms.
Job Summary: The Faith-Driven Transformational Leader will spearhead the restructuring and transformation of Watoto’s programs into self-sustainable entities. This role requires a visionary leader who can integrate faith-based principles with strategic planning to enhance the organization’s impact and sustainability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to transition existing programs into self-sustaining models.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to align transformation initiatives with Watoto’s mission and vision.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and growth within the organization’s programs.
Program Transformation
- Oversee the assessment and restructuring of core programs, including:
- Baby Watoto
- Watoto Villages & Families
- Education and Beyond Academics
- Medical Care
- Watoto Neighbourhood
- Keep a Girl in School
- Implement best practices to enhance program efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
Financial Sustainability
- Develop and execute plans to diversify funding sources, including income-generating activities and partnerships.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure financial models support long-term sustainability.
Team Development and Capacity Building
- Lead, mentor, and build capacity among program managers and staff to embrace and drive transformation initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with local and international stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders, to garner support for transformation efforts.
- Represent Watoto at relevant forums and events to promote the organization’s mission and initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Theology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in leadership roles within faith-based or nonprofit organizations, with a proven track record in organizational transformation and sustainability.
Skills:
- Strong strategic planning and execution abilities.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience in developing sustainable business models.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Working Conditions
- Based in Kampala, with potential travel to program sites in Uganda and South Sudan.
- May require occasional international travel to engage with global support offices and partners.
