Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized accountant to join the finance team. The candidate will be responsible for handling financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports.
- Handle general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare financial statements.
- Conduct internal audits to assess financial operations and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits.
- Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks to process business transactions.
- Ensure timely bank payments
- Reconcile tax accounts and maintain accurate documentation for all tax-related matters
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- 4-5 years’ work experience as an accountant
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
- Additional certification (CPA) is a plus
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance, tax accounting, and financial reporting.
