About the Company:
The Judicial Service Commission is a Constitutional body established under Article 146 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, 1995, whose mandate is to recruit judicial officers and regulate their conduct.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Taking dictation, transcribing and presenting accurate and error-free work;
- Receiving incoming mails and supervising the dispatch of outgoing mails;
- Organizing meetings, taking minutes, and conveying the decisions of such meetings to the relevant officers or offices;
- Receiving and guiding clients to relevant offices;
- Attending to callers either in person or by telephone;
- Making and following-up on appointments;
- Providing office management services;
- Managing and accounting for office imprest;
- Appraising support staff; and
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Applicants shall be Ugandan citizens in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Secretarial Studies, Business and Office Management, Office and Information Management, Administrative and Secretarial Science, or Administrative and Secretarial Studies, or any other relevant qualification in the field of Secretarial Studies (at least a Second-Class Lower Division) from a recognised university or institution.
- Computer skills in a range of applications, such word-processing, spreadsheets, and database management, from a recognised awarding institution.
- Knowledge of using office machines such as fax, photocopiers and audio equipment is an added advantage.

- Print JSC Application Form No.2 of 2024.
- Submit JSC Application Form 2 to the email addresses for each position, along with the following documents included, in the order below, all as a single PDF document:
- A copy of the applicant’s national identity card.
- A passport-size photograph.
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV).
- Copies of academic certificates and transcripts certified by the issuing institution. Note: The Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) should be certified by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).
- Names, contacts and letters of recommendation of two (2) professional and two (2) character referees.
- A certified copy of the applicant’s latest and complete Declaration of Income, Assets and Liabilities from the Inspectorate of Government.
- Copies of previous appointment, confirmation and promotion letters (where applicable).
- Any other relevant documents.
- All Application documents listed above should be combined into a single pdf document and submitted online to the Secretary Judicial Service Commission (JSC), to the application email addresses provided for each position.
