About Organisation:
Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotions Authority (UFZEPA) is a Statutory Government Agency established by the Free Zones (Amendment) Act 30 of 2024, and is responsible for the establishment, development, management, marketing, maintenance, supervision and control of Free Zones; the development, promotion and coordination of all export-related activities; and to provide for related matters.
Job Summary: To plan review and coordinate the development and implementation of special economic free zones infrastructure
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing and implementing land zoning and utilization procedures in line with the free zone mandate;
- Developing and implementing both long and short-term plans regarding the use of land in the free zones;
- Monitoring the process of demarcating areas for public facilities and infrastructure;
- Reviewing and reporting on the status of land in the demarcated free zones;
- Initiating surveys and valuation of economic zone properties in line with the land management guidelines; and
- Supervising and appraising staff
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying and Geomatics, Land Surveying and geo-spatial science, Land Surveying and information systems, Land Economics, Urban Planning, Physical Planning, Land Use Management and Land Valuation from a recognized Institution.
Work Experience
- At least three (3) years’ working experience in land management in Government or a reputable organization.
