About Organisation:
Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotions Authority (UFZEPA) is a Statutory Government Agency established by the Free Zones (Amendment) Act 30 of 2024, and is responsible for the establishment, development, management, marketing, maintenance, supervision and control of Free Zones; the development, promotion and coordination of all export-related activities; and to provide for related matters.
Job Summary: Support the Senior Research Officer in undertaking research on best practices for implementing Free Zones
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting comparative studies on best practices for incentives and tax regimes;
- Preparing statistical profiles on various regions across the country
- Preparing policy briefs;
- Building database for Free Zones activity reports;
- Producing research papers on Uganda’s investment performance and investment opportunities;
- Maintaining of market intelligence service in support of all operating departments
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics or Quantitative Economics from a recognized institution.
